A depicted individual or authorized representative can submit the signature, content-location information, good-faith statement, and contact information required by the statute.
The Act supplies a direct removal-request process while leaving other criminal, civil, and support options available.

A covered platform receiving a valid request must remove the reported depiction as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours after receipt.
Within the same period, the platform must make reasonable efforts to identify and remove known identical copies of the reported depiction.
FTC guidance directs platforms to make the removal pathway available to depicted people even when they do not have an account on the service.
The FTC accepts reports about covered platforms that lack the required process or fail to act on a valid request.
Depending on the facts, a survivor may also report criminal conduct, seek legal advice, preserve evidence, and use applicable state or federal remedies.
Preserve relevant information. If you may need to report unlawful conduct or pursue a claim, keep URLs, account names, dates, correspondence, original files, and confirmation numbers. Do not redistribute illegal or exploitative material in order to document it.
